Our Little Cajun Boy turns 9!

Our kids are turning south on us. When I asked Logan what he wanted for his Birthday dinner he said, "That's easy Mom. I want Gumbo." When I served it he was excited and then bummed because I didn't put any shrimp in it. Instead of cake he wanted cinnamon rolls so I guess a few of our traditions have held out. Here is Logan opening a few presents, cash and legos.

More Mardi Gras Fun

While Loren was out of town up to Illinois for 5 days the kids and I went with some friends to a small Mardi Gras Parade. There were lots of people and lots of drinking on the floats and not a whole lot of beads this year. At least we got some exercise walking from and to our car

Happy Mardi Gras!

Once again Mardi Gras season has come and gone. Mishonne and Logan had to make a minerature float out of paper and a box for their school parade. Each year has a theme. This year was famous people through time. Logan chose Mozart and Mishonne chose a Wright brother. They did a good job coming up with a float idea.
